Anita Barone
Anita Barone is a versatile stage actor who's been mostly limited to TV sitcoms. She first got a break in this medium after she married Jeff Foxworthy during "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," a show that aired ABC between 1995 and 1996. Barone's first stage appearance was when she was five in Detroit which was where her family relocated after having moved out of St Louis. She had performed in over fifty plays before the age of 23, mostly in regional and university theatres as well as for regional productions. Among her stage roles were Juliet in "Romeo as well as Juliet," Helen Keller in the stage version from "Monday after the Miracle" and in the title part of Agnes who is a young, tormented nun, from "Agnes of God." Her screen debut was a part-time role in "The The Rosary Murders" as well as a small role in "Ricochet", and she played the lead role in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" in 1996. However, her first Hollywood role of note came as a participant in the company that owns "Carol & Company" (NBC in 1990 and 1991) which was a disastrous program created made by Carol Burnett to revive the variety show/comedy program. Barone also starred in the 1995 USA Network movie, "Wounded Heart". She eventually returned to her weekly sitcom show, in which she co-starred with Michael Chiklis on "Daddio".
